Craig Street Brewing Co.— Fresh, handcrafted brews and house-made food are brought to you in a 1940s brick and timber building featuring a century-old bar. Big, cosy fireplace in the winter. Patio and rooftop deck in the summer.
Riot Bewing Co.— In a fully licensed lounge with an outdoor patio enjoy Lipslide Lager, Life Partners Pale Ale, Junk Punch IPA, Working Class Hero Dark Mild and Sorry We Took So Long Saison. The artwork is a riot, channeling craft beer, punk rock and skateboarding.
Red Arrow Brewing Company — In the taproom or on the patio, enjoy this small-batch brewery’s Kustom Kolsch, Old Style Lager, Sweet Leaf IPA, Piggy Pale Ale, Midnight Umber Ale and a full range of handcrafted seasonals.
Longwood Brew Pub— A true beer lover’s destination, the Longwood offers great food in both a dining room and a pub and a long menu of great craft brews. Longwood Ale, Dunkleweizen, Irish Red Ale, Scottish Ale, Czech Pilsner and then whatever specialty beers they’ve posted on the blackboard that day.
Wolf Brewing Co. — The ‘beer room’ offers small batches, seasonals and the core lineup: Honey Ale, India Pale Ale. Scotch Ale, Black & Tan and Porter.
White Sails Brewing — With a taproom by the Nanaimo waterfront, Tyler Papp and Teighlor Overton offer an award-winning menu of flagship beers and seasonals, including Departure Bay Session Ale, Mount Benson IPA and Snake Island Cascadian Dark Ale, named the World’s Best Black IPA in 2017. Awesome light meals and snacks to go with your beer.
Mount Arrowsmith Brewing Company— Named B.C.’s Brewery of the Year in 2017, this small,brewery just off the Island Highway features a cosy 20-seat tasting room and store. Look for the award-winning Arrowsmith Blonde (B.C.’s Best), Comfortably Chum (Hefeweizen), Salish Sea pale ale, Jagged Face IPA, Low Pressure porter, Sea Run saison, and Harvest Fresh IPA.
Love Shack Libations— Dave and Rachel Paul’s nano-brewery just north of Qualicum Beach on the Island Highway features Dave Paul (dark pale) Ale, Rachel Paul (rye pale) Ale, Crafty Cream Ale, Precious Porter, Sunny Bunny Pale Ale and Killer Kolsch.
Twin City Brewing— A neighbourhood pub with great atmosphere featuring its award-winning British Pale Ale, as well as a dry porter, a blonde ale, a couple of pale ales and more, including guest taps and great pub food.
Cumberland Brewing Company — Of course this charming, funky town has its own craft brewery featuring an English bitter, an unfiltered American wheat ale, an oatmeal stout and a pale ale, as well as a rotating selection of one-offs for you to discover.
Forbidden Brewing Co.— Located in the Westerly Hotel in Courtenay, this small brewery offers an award-winning pale ale, IPA, Stout, Saison, cider and Hoyne Pilsner, all on tap.
Gladstone Brewing Company— From their heritage building in Courtenay, Daniel Sharratt and Alexandra Stephanson offer Belgian ales, European lagers, and Pacific Northwest style India pale ales. Tasting room, patio and Pizzeria Guerilla.
